Virginia! You have the inaugural comment.
It’s a work in progress. The orange circles in the header are part of the default theme. I’m looking for something more … quiet.

I’m not writing about food, but about the birds building their nest. I’ve seen the whole sequence of these photos. I found them, also, from your blog, when I googled “birds of Iran mud nest”. Do you know what kind of bird this is? The original source – the photographer, I think – writes in Farsi, I presume – in any case, in a language that uses the Arabic alphabet, so I couldn’t get the name from him.

Hi Elizabeth. Did you mean these photos? A Beak Is A Wonderful Thing
Melinda identified the bird as a Rufous Hornero.

Just wondering why you do not have a FB page we can like and perhaps follow.
Thanks, George

Hi George,
Thank you for visiting. I did start a Facebook page a few years ago but it felt too commercial. Blogging seems more suited to me. I appreciate your sentiment!

I’m interested if you know of any studies that suggest replacing fat intake with carbs shrink fat cells over time without necessitating a caloric deficit? I’m aware that fat cells release fat in times of energy shortage/caloric deficits but I’m curious what effect a high carb maintenance diet has on fat storage over time?
