Cancer? Change Your Diet.

I just saw this brief video by Dr. McDougall describing the impact of diet on cancer. I came to the same conclusions after years of reading studies.

He says that one of our strongest contacts with the environment is the food we eat – 1 to 5 pounds a day. How can that not impact our health? Pro or con? I think it does.

Another argument he makes: As people move around the globe they adopt the diseases of their new surroundings. Since one of their greatest contacts with those new surroundings is food, then one of the greatest contributers to those diseases must be food. Yes? I agree with him … it’s the food.

Dr. McDougall recommends a starch-based diet, low in fat and consisting primarily of plant foods – potatoes, rice, corn, wheat, barley, oats, beans, and starchy vegetables.
