I began writing Fanatic Cook in 2004 using Google’s Blogspot. It’s still there, with a ton of recipes, although most of the food I don’t eat anymore. After 9 years, I decided to move into my own domain at fanaticcook.com.

I have a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree. I minored in Human Clinical Nutrition. My Bachelor of Science degree is in biochemistry and clinical nutrition and I’m Certified in Integrative Medicine, mostly for the nutrition aspect.

After all these years and all these studies, I’ve come to believe that eating a diet with as little fat and animal food as possible is one of the best ways to achieve and maintain good health.

Virginia! You have the inaugural comment.

It’s a work in progress. The orange circles in the header are part of the default theme. I’m looking for something more … quiet.

I’m not writing about food, but about the birds building their nest. I’ve seen the whole sequence of these photos. I found them, also, from your blog, when I googled “birds of Iran mud nest”. Do you know what kind of bird this is? The original source – the photographer, I think – writes in Farsi, I presume – in any case, in a language that uses the Arabic alphabet, so I couldn’t get the name from him.

      Hi George,

Thank you for visiting. I did start a Facebook page a few years ago but it felt too commercial. Blogging seems more suited to me. I appreciate your sentiment!
